History
Greystones Cape Town started up in 1995 with the implementation of a conveyor system to load bulk cargo onto vessels.
Our major commodity was clinker cement. Between 1995 and 1998 Greystones shipped approximately 3.7 million tons of cement.
Stevedoring
Cape Town started stevedoring in 2000. Through training and investment we became the fastest growing stevedores in Cape Town. Training and development is our focus point. Our young motivated staff is continuously striving to offer an efficient service to our clients.
Cape Town Container Terminal
We have successfully been involved in the container terminal for the past 5 years.
We perform the function of Stevedore Coordinators: - Synchronizing all stevedore movements in the Port in conjunction with SAPO.
Planning of out of gauge cargo, special lifts, or any difficulties that SAPO has in moving cargo.
Greystones at present, handle 4000 containers a month in Cape Town.
