Car Terminals

We handle most of the car vessels that calls on the Ports of SA - Durban to Cape Town - with a near zero percent accident record. We have an in-house training academy training and educating drivers to International Standards on handling motor cars.

Heavy Lifts and Specialized Cargo Services

We have the gear and expertise to handle Special Lifts of any nature in all Ports.

Containers and Containerization

Greystones Cargo Systems operate Container Freight Stations and Intermodal Facilities in all Ports. Not only handling containers in and out of storage, we also containerize and unpack a wide variety of cargoes - ranging from minerals, bulk cargoes, break bulk cargoes to sensitive commodities like Foods and Aid Cargoes.

We further specialize in the supply and maintenance of container handlers - importing the latest in handling equipment to streamline container handling operations in South Africa.

We are appointed stevedores in all the container terminals - Durban to Cape Town - and handle containers for all the major shipping lines.

We further offer Reefer monitoring in these ports to clients and lines alike.

Terminal Operations

Greystones Cargo Systems are continuously working on new relationships in the Ports and Inland to operate and promote all facets of terminal cargo handling. By utilizing our innovative conveyor belt systems Greystones Cargo Systems converted the East London Grain terminal from and "Exports Only" terminal to a diverse facility that can handle imports ex Vessel and receiving Bulk Road cargo into the silos. For the first time in many years we have succeeded in having the terminal working at full capacities. By the same means of portable conveyors we have aided in increasing the discharge of bulk vessels at the Maydon Wharf 8 berth in Durban. This berth can now compete favorably with all South African Bulk Discharge Terminals.

Bulk and Break Bulk

Cargo Handling Operations in all aspects are being conducted in all Ports - at MPT, DBT and general berths - we handle the loading and discharge of Vessels. Commodities range from Ferro Chrome to Wood Chips.

Warehousing

Greystones Cargo Systems offers warehouse services and facilities in all major South African and Namibian Ports. Cargo can be handled Into and Out of warehouses onto client's mode of transport productively by means of specialized equipment.
